Yuki Tokuda, a professional ballet dancer, teacher, choreographer, and native of Japan who now is a Minnesotan, collaborates with other celebrated Japanese/Minnesotan artists to tell the story of how her love for dance transcends cultures and language barriers to bridge her two worlds. This ballet debut features award-winning musicians, original music compositions, custom choreography, and is set in the intimate JSB TekBox Theater to provide the audience with a personal experience that is emotive and inspiring.

Yuki Tokuda, in partnership with Asako Hirabayashi, is a fiscal year 2018 recipient of a Cultural Community Partnership grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
